Rooster: "I think we need to shorten up these Command Meetings. 2 hours is way too long. I propose we limit it to an hour or 90 min max and keep the meeting to things people have posted in the Topics to Discuss channel unless there's spare time."
- Yes, we should keep these command meetings short. Let's designate a moderator as the first task of the meeting to keep notes and try to manage the conversation a bit.
Ogre: "Can we establish some set amount of squadron briefing time after the JTF mission briefing ends? I didn't even have enough time to distro kneeboards this past mission let alone go through our mission brief."
- The minimum amount of post JTF briefing, squadron time needs to be 30 minutes.
- Please try to keep JTF campaign briefings less than 30 minutes.
Killjoy: Thursday planning sessions: Is there enough time between Thursdays and Saturdays? Is there a better time for better participation?
- Ogre to put out a poll to see if a earlier time of week, with current time as options.
Ogre: Mission design standardization. The JTF needs to decide if things like the comm card, jet configurations, mission settings, etc are going to adhere to set standards or if these things are just going to be suggestions/recommendations. What are the left and rights of mission design in the JTF? Would a Saturday campaign be acceptable if it didn't include the F/A-18 for example? If unlimited fuel/weapons were enabled? As it stands now, where the lines are drawn is pretty nebulous.
- Mission (especially campaign) makers need to be aware of the JTF-191 standards document (PLEASE)!
- Perhaps templates can be made for the common maps that include?
- If things counter to the standards, please brief the differences clearly and early
- All agree that the standards should be applied to official JTF-191 missions
- Refresher? Use standard call signs for tasking SEAD/DEAD/STRIKE/etc
