Command Meeting Notes 12/6/2024
Campaign Scheming
Problem: Squadrons create flight plans or go into campaign missions with little or not coordination with other squadrons, and this can lead to mishaps during missions.
Solution: For each JTF campaign going forward, plan on scheduling a regular weekly meeting for JTF squadrons to go over the documents and plan/scheme the plan ahead of time.
Cleaning cobb webs
Problem: Inactive pilots with squadron "badges" in discord. This can be misleading to new pilots who see a bunch of squadron members that are never around.
Possibly getting someone together for some training on the mission planning software [at least for me] to learn to make squadron briefs
We need a little clarification! Please PM Killjoy and he will help connect you with what you need.
How long are the Campaign missions 3Hrs-1Hr Only 1 Sortie?
Looking for less than 3 hours, 1 sortie unless someone CTD's.
Would like to keep the time limited to have a JTF debrief
Idea: Mission designer to create AI CAP to cover long time loiters
We need to have a Mission GUY that Makes the Call's for Mission Cancel or a Restart if one is Required Within the 1st 30-60min if Needed?
For JTF wide missions, there needs to be a "Mission Dee Jay". This person will be responsible for operating the server, and communicating what to do if mission or server issues arise.
JTF-191 Web page Squadron page add a Pilot roster for each? Doable?
Website guy will need to see if this can be managed by squadron members and not the website admin. Will determine before next meeting.

KJ: I believe this is regarding frag orders or combat flight, but not sure. Please PM me to clarify!

Observation: Perhaps new pilots see discord squadron members with discord tags online, thinking that these are the people the get to fly with.
Solution: Place inactive pilots on a "reserve" status, that could be used within discord. Coming out of reserve would require a sort of "check ride" to ensure they are good to go.
Morale hit
Problem statement: Members within the JTF have problems with others, and do not bring it up to solve.
Observation: Straight forward conversations to address conflicts are NOT easy, and potentially destructive BUT can be helpful for resolving.
Observation: Living with problems and unspoken/unresolved conflicts quickly decays group vibe, and exposes natural human behavior of "it's easier to quit than work it out".
Solution: Get EVERYONE prepared to listen and accept any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism in order to make this place better. During these difficult conversations, it is extremely easy to get offended or upset. All of us need to express respect at all times.
Candid debriefs: Pointing out gaps in tactics or execution of other squadrons should be DESIRED by the squadrons that has the gaps. Communicating these gaps to other squadrons should be expressed with 100% respect, and squadrons receiving the feedback should consider it at face value.
Constructive criticism or talks, should be in voice and NOT text.
Members of 14th FS are leaving JTF-191 (Vengeance, Division, Khaos, and Stash)
They really like flying with the JTF, and like to fly around with other squadrons/airframes if possible.
14th command is leaving, new command staff should be determined.
